Dana Precious grew up in North Muskegon, Michigan. After graduation from Michigan State University she headed for Los Angeles.

Beginning her career as an advertising copywriter Ms. Precious worked her way up the ladder to become a theatrical creative advertising executive at film studios such as Sony Pictures Entertainment (Columbia Pictures), Fox Studios and Marvel Film Studios. There, she was responsible for the advertising for some of the biggest box office blockbusters of all time.

During that time Dana also stayed busy working at her first love—writing novels. Moving back to her beloved Michigan several years ago she lives with her teenage son, Gus, a fat chocolate labrador named Finnley and Thunder the Adventure Kitty. 

Dana is currently an Adjunct Professor at Grand Valley State University.
